Increasingly, there's a good chance that if you're on social media, your friends will post--or try to post--a photo of themselves doing their civic duty.

But in some places, they could go to jail for doing so. And in other places, where there isn't actually any law prohibiting the practice, they may be barred from doing so anyway by state officials.
